Htaccess Generator Launched in the Web Hosting Control Panel

Lonex.com is pleased to announce that new software has been added to the Web Hosting Control Panel. It is called .htaccess Generator and its aim is to allow you to create some of the most widely used .htaccess file features.
Where can you find the .htaccess Generator?
You can find the .htaccess Generator in the Web Tools menu's new Elefante Administration Tools section, which contains also the Hotlink Protection and IP Blocking tools taken from the Elefante Marketing Tools section. You can also create .htaccess files if you go to the desired location using the Control panel's File Manager and then click the .htaccess button that is available there.
What is the purpose of the .htaccess Generator?
We've developed this tool bearing in mind that you need to create .htaccess files, which sometimes are not functioning properly due to wrong parameters. The new .htaccess generator will create these files properly and, as a result, you won't need to contact our Technical Support staff about problems of such kind. As always, we are ready to assist you in case there are problems with malfunctioning .htaccess files hosted on our servers.
What features are available in the .htaccess Generator?
The features, grouped in six sections depending on their purpose, are as follows:
- default index page
- additional MIME types
- authentication - allows IP and password authentication
- mod_rewrite - allows host authentication, redirection of wrong URLs to other web server, redirection by language and blocking sites by certain referrer
- custom error documents - allows setting up custom Error 400, 401, 403, 404 and 500 pages, as well as document redirection to a new URL
- other options - allows enabling Server Side Includes (SSI), hotlinking protection and inclusion of PHP in HTML files
How does the generated .htaccess code have to be applied?
After the form has been completed and submitted, the .htaccess code is generated. For your convenience, the code is shown in a text box so that you can choose if you want to add it to an existing .htaccess file, or to have the file created in the selected location.
