Domain Manager Update: Auto-host Your Domain Names
Publish Date: Wednesday, June 27, 2007
As you know, in April we launched the new Domain Manager in the Control panel of the hosting accounts. There were a lot of new features and the usability was significantly improved. Now, there is one more feature called "auto-host" that we have implemented for your convenience. You must have mentioned that until now, each domain that you registered or transferred through the Domain Manager had to be manually added to the Hosted Domains section in order to work with your web hosting account. Although it didn't seem to be a big problem, you were supposed to spend some time adding this domain for hosting and knowing that time is money, we have tried to save some of yours.
Some more about the new feature

The domain order procedure has been changed slightly but enough to make it smarter. Now it asks whether you want to add for hosting the domain that you are registering or transferring, instead of leaving it with a "floating" status and thus use it later. |

But what if the web hosting plan that you have now does not allow hosting of those new domains? Well, the system will check if your plan has available domain hosting slots in its quota and if there aren't, it will suggest the most appropriate upgrade option - add domain hosting upgrade or upgrade the entire plan. |

At the last step, the information about the different services that you have selected is displayed, so that you can see clearly what you are going to order and what the price for each service is. |
This improved order procedure makes it possible to register/transfer domain names and get them ready for use in a much easier way than before. Knowing that, we hope that you would consider taking advantage of the new feature of the Domain Manager.
