.DE Domain Names Offered by Lonex Now

A new TLD has just been added to the Lonex web hosting Control Panel. The word is about .DE - the German domain extension that our new and existing customers will be able to register and manage from now on.
The .DE TLD (top-level domain) ranks among the best-selling country TLDs at present. However, the registry of this domain, DENIC, has set a few specific conditions for the approval of the domain registration and the management of this domain:
WHOIS / Contact Information:The registry, DENIC, demands a street address or a P.O. Box within Germany to be specified as an administrative contact, in order to gain approval of the registration. That is why, an additional step will need to be passed in order to successfully complete the registration process: after the WHOIS information has been approved, the German address of the P.O. Box has to further wait for confirmation. If, for some reason, the information is not found as "correct", the .DE registry, DENIC, is sure to reject the registration and in such case a notification will be sent to the registrant.
Registration Period:Optional to choose from of 1 to 10 years. Renewals for multiple years are offered as well.
Domain Renewal:Renewals are legislated up to 10 days before the date of expiry. After that, a "Transit" status is given to the domain name by the registry and the registrant is sent a notification. If, for 4 weeks, there has been no response from the registrant regarding the renewal, the domain name is transferred to DENICdirect for management and the registrant must then address them, if willing to regain possession of the same domain.
WHOIS / ID Protection:This service is unavailable for .DE domain names.
Registrar Change / Transfer:There is no possibility of a change of the .DE domain name registrar.
The newest TLD in our domain list is the last of the major domain extensions that we wanted to make available to our customers. Of course, we will implement some other TLDs but their preparation will take some more time.
