Renewal of IDP Service Allowed Now
Publish Date: Thursday, July 24, 2008Lonex Web Hosting are pleased to let you know that Renewal option has been enabled for the domain names' ID Protection (IDP) service.
ID Protection service is available for .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, .TV and .CC domain name extensions. When you activate an IDP service for your domain name you are able to mask the WHOIS information that you present when purchasing the domain name and thus protect your identity against spammers, stalkers and fraudsters who obtain information from the public data of domain names. You can order the service only on an annual basis - for one year (to be active till the expiration of the domain name, e.g. 9 months if 9 months left till the expiration date, or 12 months - if the domain is newly registered), or for multiple years.
In order to renew you IDP service, you need to go the 'Domain Manager' section of your Web Hosting Control Panel, or to the 'Upgrades' -> 'Renew Plan' section. If you want to renew the ID Protection service only - visit your 'Domain Manager' and open a tooltip with renewal option appearing when you click on the IDP type icon against a particular domain name. If you wish to renew the IDP service together with the respective domain name, you need to select the option 'Renew' domain name. If you wish however to renew the IDP service together with whole web hosting account, you need to go to 'Upgrades' -> 'Renew Plan' section in your Web Hosting Control Panel.
The service is allowed for one year and multiple years renewals, monthly renewal is not available. Note that, if you have less than 12 months till a domain name expiration, you will be able to renew the IDP service for one year only, multiple-year renewal option will not be available.
